If you´re heading through Gembrook from the west, it´s very easy to accidentally take this detour instead of heading north at the edge of town. Unless you´re pressed for time you won´t mind, though. Up and back to Gembrook is about 16km of slightly narrow but smooth and level tarmac. Since the road goes nowhere except to a few farms and dirt bike trails there is very little traffic. Turn around at the T-intersection with the little traffic island (unless you like gravel). Trees cover the road, so watch out for debris after bad weather. There are a couple of driveways and farm entrances (no more than normal for the area), so look out for gravel and mud as well.
