Probably the nicest stretch of highway to ride in Western Canada! The views along the way are amazing - the ocean on one side (Howe Sound) and the mountains on the other. The highway was widened and improved for the 2010 Winter Olympics and it´s a joy to ride. Lots of sweeping corners, ups and downs and a few decent straights. There are numerous places to pull over and enjoy the scenery. Lions Bay, Porteau Cove (public washrooms) and Squamish to name a few. But don´t let the views distract you; keep your eyes open for the handful of meatheads who drive too quickly on this road.
