This road has some nice views across sheer drops... The final section into Munster is a plain stright road, re-surfaced June 2007. Real nice bends, for lots of knee down action.
Really mega, especially as you come round the corner to the sheer drop with the tunnel and the forest.
Totally awesome but the sheer drop on one side of the road kept me focused. Fantastic view after teh short tunnel section, one of the best I've ever seen.
The Western section close to Munster is fairly ordinary, the best part is the rise up into the mountains to the Col de la Schluct. If you're heading into France from Southern Germany, this is one of the best ways to do it! It also links nicely to another route, Gerardmer to La Bresse over the Ballon d'Alsace.
