A nice little run down the right bank in Bordeaux. Royan is a very busy tourist spot so the town itself is quite congested but once you are on the open road there are few cars and the roads are well surfaced. You get some coastal views though the coast here is not overwhelming. Lovely farmland with vineyards and sunflowers etc. we travelled around 7pm and pretty much had the road to ourselves. We would have liked a longer run eg La Rochelle into Bordeaux but time was against us.
