This route (also entered as part of a roundtrip) is truly spectacular. It takes you past the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geiranger fjord, the Ørnevei (Eagles road) and Trollstigen (Troll ladder), and lots lots more. Beware of tourists, and locals racing to catch the ferry. Bring your camera!
