Few really nice corners before Chateau Chinon, nice views, but nothing spectacular
A nice flowing east/west route through the Bourgogne countryside, part of a good touring route linking the Loire and Rhone Valleys. Good surface with large sections resurfaced summer 2008, good visibility and pleasant views. The best section is the last 2-3km approaching Chateau Chinon. An uphill section with smooth grippy surface and constant radius 90-180° corners. Stop in Chateau Chinon for refreshment, enjoy the view, then go back down the hill to do it all again! (beware, much heavier braking needed on the way down - its steeper than you think).
