I include this route in my trips, when Im in the vicinity. Its one of my favorites! Best to ride it in autumn or winter when no daytripping cars are around. Good thing the max speed isnt limited to 60 kms an hour.
Today I extended my Sunday Circuit to take in this & blokzijldijk. Its a long way to go for a couple of short stretches but this one at least didnt dissapoint. I had 3 runs at it, each way. My biggest bitch is that you have to ease off, at least a bit, for the 2 villages in the middle and they have some nice sweepers which you cant really go for. My favourite bit is the last stretch, from kamperzeedijk-oost to genemuiden, short straights and lovely smooth flowing bends with good visibility which urge you to get your toes onto the tarmac. Id like to suggest that when you hit the roundabout at genemuiden, you go right, towards hasselt, theres a lovely severely dangerous bend about 400m along. A straight flog to the next roundabout, turn back, but this time when you hit the genemuiden roundabout go straight ahead - it claims to be a 50k zone but the first few hundred yards have some tight slow corners worthy of a short diversion. I enjoyed this run, as did many other riders while I was there. My advice - forget the blokzijldijk, spend twice as long here. Unless you are suicidal and are wearing bollock protection!
Pleasant track In Dutch: Leuk snel bochtig stuk, vaak gereden en blijft echt intressant!
Just thought I'd mention that the Blokzijlerdijk route is very close by, a nice run if you combine the two.
The Kamperzeedijk, A good if short stretch which offers a couple of fine corners with good visibility, particularly noteworthy as decent roads in this area are a rarity.
