At Nave Redonda the awful road surface starts to improve and the road itself gets twistier as one gets into the Algarves sierras. Watch out for some dirt and leafs in the surface. Continuing to Fóia (the top of the Monchique sierra) after Monchique is worth it, for the corners and the view.
