A very scenic route from Maggie Valley to Gatlinburg.Plenty of curves with light traffic and a good place to see wildlife - deer, wild turkey and even elk, near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Hwy 441 intersection.(Pay attention to the fields in this area). The temperatures remain cool on those hot summer days in August making it a very good ride in the summer.Maggie Valley is a good center location to stay for a week on a motorcycle (stayed there more than once)been to Cherokee,Dragons Tail,Blue Ridge Parkway - both south and north,Mt Mitchell State Park with a restaurant on top on the mountain and numerous other places to visit from this location.
